I'm Joy Kong. I am 16 years old and studying at the International School of Beijing. I believe all women and men should be equal all the time. According to SDG Number 5 ("Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls."), gender is exceptionally significant because "gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable world." In order to promote gender equality and education equality. I set up my own social media accounts (杏坛女生) to promote educational equality and gender equality on Weibo, the WeChat official account, TikTok, Kwai, and Bilibili, where I uploaded videos to increase social awareness of the issue of inequality once or twice a week. To make my videos strong and appealing, I spent 4-6 hours a week researching relevant information, taking notes, designing content, and editing videos. Besides, in my spare time, I love to do some Chinese calligraphy. So, this time I combined two of my interests. I translated a sentence from the Declaration of Independence into Chinese: "We hold these truths to be self-evident that all humans are created equal," and then write this quote in calligraphy.
