What we do –
our work
Unitlife Advisory Council
As advisors to Unitlife, a multi-partner trust fund created by the
UN Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) to fight chronic
malnutrition worldwide, WGI offers investment strategies for
funds from private-sector donors.

Ending chronic malnutrition—the second in the United Nations' list of Sustainable Development Goals—is especially important when it concerns children. Without proper nutrition in the first 1000 days of their lives, those who survive will often grow up to face serious disadvantages. Unitlife seeks to help children and their mothers combat malnutrition by addressing the root causes of income and medical inequality, investing in community leaders and giving them the agricultural tools and technology that they need to lead better lives.

In their mission to connect local and digital financial ecosystems, Unitlife have collaborated with many esteemed partners, including the UN Foundation, Ecobank, and Reaching for the Last Mile (RLM).

Impact Investing Case Studies
WGI/Columbia University
The Impact Investing Case Study Project (IICSP) is a collaboration between SIPA’s Picker Center for Executive Education and Worldview Global Impact. The IICSP provides substantive resources to assist in the wider dissemination of the principles and practices of impact investing for audiences worldwide.
In collaboration with Worldview Global Impact (WGI), a New York-based NGO that promotes sustainability initiatives, the Picker Center is producing a new series of case studies that will examine this important global strategy from a variety of perspectives.
This case examines the effort to universalize and quantify the practice of social impact investing. As they watched the field grow to more than $1 trillion over the past decade, investors set out to answer a key question: how do we measure the social good delivered by an investment?
(Environmental/Social/Governance) metrics are playing an increasingly important role in investing around the world, but criticisms of the ESG process come from both ends of the political spectrum. This case examines the current state of affairs, with voices representing a wide range of viewpoints on this vital element of the impact investing cosmos.
